United Prayer

Three times a year on a Wednesday evening, churches in Croydon come together to pray in unity for the borough of Croydon.  We have the privilege of hosting these great nights of prayer at New Life.

The prayer meetings are organised by church leaders from a wide variety of churches (including New Life) under the name 'ICTIAC'. 'ICTIAC' stands for 'In Croydon there is a church'. The Doomsday Book of 1086 says that 'there is a church' in Croydon and we believe that this is prophetic statement of the growing unity God is bringing to the Church in our Borough.

Each time we meet to pray, we usually pray about a specific issue affecting Croydon (eg health, education, emergency services, law & order, economy) and invite key officials and representatives to share prayer requests.

At New Life we encourage all our church family to support these prayer meetings and consequently our fellowship groups do not meet on these evenings.

The next scheduled prayer meeting will be at 7.30pm at New Life on:

Wednesday 15 June 2011

The Croydon Churches Website contains more details of these prayer meetings and other information about the Church in Croydon.
