Power House is New Life’s Sunday morning programme for children aged 3-11 (Pre-school up to year 6). Children stay in the main meeting for the first part before being sent to their groups. Children in pre-school & reception meet in the pre-school room and children in school years 1-6 meet in the upper room. Children in pre-school and reception must be dropped off and collected by a parent/carer. Stewards are available to direct parents and children to the appropriate group and location.
We have groups for pre-school, reception, years 1&2, years 3&4, years 5&6, years 7-9 and years 10-13. We have our own four week rolling programme for those in school years 7-13. All other age groups follow a teaching programme called Light produced by Scripture Union.
Our programmes for all ages are age relevant and Bible based and are delivered by a team of dedicated staff and volunteers. Our adult leaders in years 1-6 are assisted by a team of young people as part of our ‘Next Generation’ initiative. We produce our own teaching programmes for both the younger and older groups. The children in years 1-6, follow a four week rolling programme. (Week 1: Foundations – looking at stories from the Bible, Week 2: HIS-story – teaching on Jesus, Week 3: Foundations – looking at stories from the Bible, Week 4: Supernatural – focusing on praise, worship and ministry.
Power House is open to all children but we do ask that parents register their children when they first visit.
New Life is committed to the safe protection of children in our care. All our workers have enhanced DBS disclosures and we also have our own Safeguarding Policy which can be downloaded here.
